Static rapelling Kernmaster line is constructed with a traditional "mantle" sleeve consisting of 48 strands of polyester. The inside, or "kern," is a braided core of energy absorbing nylon. The core is fully steam-stabilized to enhance the rope's flexibility and prevent hardening in service; the braid also bends more easily than most ropes.

Good rope for srt

Use it exclusively for SRT. Like it. A little stretch, but I prefer that. Has stood up well to tooth ascenders. Would buy again. Not sure what the other review is talking about a port a wrap. I don't use that for ascending. I use my Porta wrap for rigging with a bull rope.

The rope was very neatly packaged and has a great feel to it. I found that unfortunately if your not using a block or a port a wrap, the friction between the bark and the rope caused the rope to harden and become difficult to work with.
